📋 Booking & Pricing

How much does it cost to rent a bounce house in Sacramento?

Bounce house rental prices vary depending on the size, style, and features of the unit. Basic bounce houses typically start at a lower price point, while larger combo units with slides, water slides, and extreme attractions like mechanical bulls are priced higher. Does the price include setup and delivery?

Yes! Our prices include free delivery, professional setup, and takedown within our standard service area. Additional delivery fees may apply for areas farther out from our Roseville location. Check our delivery areas page or call us for a quote if you're unsure about your location.

Do you require a deposit to book?

Yes, all smaller orders require a $50 non-refundable credit card deposit to secure your reservation. This deposit is applied toward your total rental cost. For larger events or multiple rentals, deposit requirements may vary—please contact our office for details.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash or credit cards. If paying by cash, please have exact change as our delivery drivers do not carry cash. Credit card payments can be made online during booking or at the time of delivery.

How far in advance should I book a bounce house?

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially during peak season (spring and summer) and for weekend events. Popular dates can book up weeks or even months in advance. However, we do accommodate last-minute bookings when inventory is available—give us a call to check availability!

How long is the standard rental period?

Our standard rental period is 5 hours of play time. This does NOT include our setup time—we arrive early (sometimes very early) to set up so you get the entire rental time to enjoy. Need more time? Extended rental hours and full-day options are available. Contact us for pricing.

Can I extend my rental time on the day of my event?

Extensions are subject to availability. If the equipment isn't scheduled for another event after yours, we're usually happy to accommodate extra time. Please call our office during your rental to request an extension, and we'll do our best to make it happen!

What cities do you deliver to?

We proudly serve the entire Greater Sacramento Area including Roseville, Rocklin, Lincoln, Folsom, Sacramento, Citrus Heights, Rancho Cordova, Elk Grove, Granite Bay, Orangevale, Carmichael, Fair Oaks, and many more communities throughout Sacramento, Placer, and Yolo Counties. Do you deliver to areas outside your service area?

Yes, we can deliver outside our standard service area! Please be aware that due to rising gas prices and the possible need for an extra truck and labor, travel fees can apply for distant locations. Please call our office at (916) 548-7995 for a current quote.

When do you arrive to set up?

That depends on how many rentals we have scheduled that day. Generally, we arrive 1 to 3 hours before your rental time begins. If we have a lot of rentals that day, we may need to set up as early as 7:00 AM. We will always call you when we are en route for delivery so you know exactly when to expect us.

What surfaces can you set up on?

We can set up on:

  • Grass – Our favorite and best for the kids!
  • Dirt – Additional $50 fee applies
  • Asphalt – We use sandbags or weights instead of stakes
  • Concrete – We use sandbags or weights instead of stakes

Sorry, we cannot set up on any type of rocks as the constant rubbing will wear through the vinyl material. If you have questions about your setup surface, please call our office.

How big are your bounce houses?

Most of our standard bounce houses (including all character-themed jumps) are 13'x13' or 15'x15', which is a bit bigger than many companies offer. Please note the space requirements listed with each unit as some of our larger combos, water slides, and obstacle courses are VERY big and require extra space.

When in doubt, measure your space! Remember that units need room for stakes, blowers, and can't rub against walls, fences, or trees. The dimensions listed with each rental include the space needed for safe setup.

What are the requirements for large inflatables?

For our larger units (big water slides, obstacle courses, etc.), please ensure you have:

  • At least a 4-foot wide access path to the setup area
  • A clear, flat space that meets the size requirements listed with the unit
  • No low-hanging branches, power lines, or other overhead obstructions

Some of our jumps can weigh up to 1,200 pounds, so we need a clear path with ample room to safely transport and set up the equipment. If you have stairs, a tiered backyard, or other access concerns, please call our office to discuss options.

🌳 Parks & Outdoor Events

Do you deliver to parks?

Yes! We carry several City Parks and Recreation departments under our insurance policy, allowing us to set up at almost any park worry-free and at no extra charge. Approved cities include but are not limited to Roseville, Rocklin, Granite Bay, Antelope, Auburn, Citrus Heights, Sacramento, and many others.

Important: If you're having your party at a park, we need you at the park one hour before the start time on your contract to meet our delivery team.

Do parks have electricity for bounce houses?

We love setting up at parks, but most parks do NOT have electricity available. If you want to set up at a park, you must rent a generator from us. We rent generators at a reasonable cost to keep your inflatables running all day.

Make sure to check with your local park service to see what they require of you and of us. Also, some parks are first-come, first-served, so get your spot early in the day!

Do you rent generators?

Yes! We offer generator rentals for events at parks or locations without accessible electrical outlets. Our generators are properly sized to power our inflatables safely and reliably. Generator rental pricing will be quoted when you book your rental.

What if my park requires a Certificate of Insurance?

We are already listed with most parks in our service area! If your park requires a Certificate of Insurance that we're not already registered with, please call our office at least two weeks in advance (or as soon as you make your reservation) so we can get the paperwork processed in time for your event.

🌧️ Weather & Cancellations

What happens if it rains on my party day?

Rain days are simple with Bouncey House Rentals! We will call you that morning to ask for a "Go" or "No Go" decision:

  • If it's a "Go" – Just pay the delivery driver and have a great party!
  • If it's a "No Go" – We'll reschedule you for another date. It's that simple!

We never want weather to ruin your plans, so we work with you to find a solution that works for everyone.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • 30-60 days before your rental: You will receive a raincheck valid for 1 year (deposit is non-refundable)
  • 29 days or less before your rental: You must pay in full for the rental. No refunds will be given.

We understand plans change, which is why we offer the raincheck option for cancellations made with adequate notice. Please see our policies page for complete details.

Can bounce houses be used in windy conditions?

Safety is our top priority. Inflatables should not be used in winds exceeding 15-20 mph. If conditions become too windy during your event, the unit must be turned off and deflated until conditions improve. Our team will advise you on weather-related safety decisions, and we monitor conditions closely on delivery days.

🛡️ Safety & Insurance

Are you insured?

Yes, absolutely! Any reputable bounce house rental company will carry insurance, and Bouncey House Rentals is fully insured with complete liability coverage for your peace of mind.

A Certificate of Insurance is often required for setups at parks, schools, festivals, large corporate events, and even some backyard parties. Please contact our office at least one week before your event if you need a certificate.

Do I need to supervise the bounce house during my event?

Yes! Adult supervision is required at all times when the bounce house is in use. As the renter, you (or a designated responsible adult) will act as the trained operator for the duration of your event. We'll go over all safety rules with you at setup, and you'll sign and initial our safety guidelines so you know exactly what to watch for.

Am I responsible if the bounce house gets damaged?

Yes and no. Here's how it works:

  • Normal wear and tear: You are NOT responsible. Seams may develop small tears in high-traffic areas over time. If this happens, please alert us immediately so we can address it.
  • Damage due to negligence: You ARE responsible if damage occurs from failure to follow safety rules or negligence (such as not turning off the blower in high winds). In these cases, you may be responsible for all damages up to and including replacement of the unit/blower, which can cost thousands of dollars.

We don't want either of us to be in a bad situation, which is why we have you sign and initial all safety rules so you can be a properly trained operator.

Can I see a copy of your contract and safety rules?

Yes! A link to our contract and safety rules is included in your receipt once you've placed an order. If you'd like to review them before booking, please contact our office and we'll be happy to provide them.

What age is appropriate for bounce houses?

Most of our bounce houses are designed for children ages 3 and up. However, age recommendations can vary by unit—some larger attractions may have higher minimum ages or height requirements. We recommend grouping children by similar ages and sizes when possible for the safest bouncing experience. Children under 3 should only use age-appropriate units with direct adult supervision.

How many kids can use the bounce house at once?

Capacity varies by unit size and type. Each rental listing includes the recommended maximum capacity. As a general rule:

  • Standard bounce houses (13'x13'): 6-8 children
  • Larger bounce houses (15'x15'): 8-10 children
  • Combo units and larger: Varies by design

For safety, children should be grouped by similar age and size, and the unit should never be overcrowded. Your adult supervisor should manage who enters and exits the unit.

Can adults use the bounce houses?

Some of our units are rated for adult use—check the weight limits listed with each rental. However, adults and children should never bounce together at the same time due to the significant size and weight differences, which can lead to injuries. If adults want to bounce, children should exit the unit first.

⚙️ Equipment & Operation

Does the bounce house need to stay plugged in the whole time?

Yes! A blower keeps air in the bounce house the entire time it's in use. Once unplugged, the unit will deflate. That's why we require an electrical outlet within 50 feet of the setup location, or a generator rental.

Please don't use your own extension cords—longer or inadequate cords can trip your circuit breaker or burn up the blower motor. We bring our own heavy-duty cords to ensure safe, reliable operation.

What happens if the bounce house deflates during my event?

If the bounce house begins to deflate, first check that the blower is still plugged in and running. Inflatables have small openings and seams that allow some air to escape, which is normal. If there's an issue with the blower or a significant air leak, call our office immediately and we'll work to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

In the event of a power outage, the unit will slowly deflate—this is by design and gives children time to safely exit. Simply wait for power to return and the unit will reinflate.

Are your bounce houses clean?

Absolutely! At Bouncey House Rentals, we take cleanliness very seriously. Every single unit is cleaned and disinfected after every rental. We have a full-time cleaning staff of at least 4 people who do nothing but clean our inflatables—we spend hundreds of hours every month making sure every unit is spotless.

Our rule is simple: "If we wouldn't let our own kids play in it, we won't offer it to you for your kids!" Clean jumps or not at all. Period.

Do you offer water slides?

Yes! We have an exciting selection of inflatable water slides perfect for beating the Sacramento summer heat. From single-lane slides to dual-lane racing slides with splash pools, our water slide rentals are among our most popular attractions. Water slides require a water hookup within 50 feet of the setup location.
